The Throne of Divine Guidance and Persuasion and Preaching Faqr

The perfect and accomplished spiritual guide is the absolute light of guidance. It is a rule in the path of Faqr that the spiritual guide at first chooses the true seeker of Allah. This seeker has to be sincerest and highly attributed among all the seekers of Allah. Also, the spiritual guide has to do it when his time draws closer of to leave this physical world. Then he presents the chosen seeker esoterically in the Mohammadan Assembly.

The Holy Prophet Grants Faqr

The Holy Prophet has total authority over bestowment of the treasure of Faqr. He chooses the seeker to succeed him and to become his vicegerent. So that, he distributes the treasure of Faqr in the Mohammadan nation. Then, the Holy Prophet grants the permission to the perfect and accomplished spiritual guide, to guide the seeker. So, eventually the seeker can adorn the throne of Divine guidance and persuasion.

Spiritual Guide Esoterically Trains his Confidant

Esoterically, the guide starts training of the disciple according to the requirements of the throne. When the seeker accomplishes the training, the guide leaves this mortal world. Before leaving, he grants both the Divine Trust and throne of Divine guidance and persuasion to the successor. Now the spiritual education and persuasion becomes the responsibility of the successor. Also, his spiritual guide obligates him to grant the invocation and contemplation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat (the personal name of Allah).

What happens At the Ultimate Station of Faqr?

When Sultan Bahoo reached the ultimate station of Faqr or received the Divine Trust,

He said:

“At the ultimate destination of Faqr the Divine decree came from the majestic court, “You are My lover.” I submitted, “My humble self is incapable of the love of the Majesty.” Then the Divine command came, “You are My beloved”. On this, I kept quiet. The sheen of ray of Divinity submerged me into the oceans of Divine engrossment like a mere particle. Again, the Divine commandment came, “You are exactly Me and I am exactly you. With respect to the Divine reality you are My reality and with respect to gnosis you are My beloved. Also, (remember) the secret of YaHoo lies in Hoo.” (Risala Roohi Sharif)

Here Hoo (ھُو) means the Essence of Allah Almighty. Whereas,  YaHoo (یا ھُو ) refers to the Mohammadan reality. And secret refers to the accomplishment of spiritual self that is ultimate union with Allah. This is the station of annihilation and immortality with Allah Almighty (annihilation in Hoo ھُو). It is where he becomes the Universal Divine Man and adorns the throne of Divine guidance and persuasion. In fact, in the soul of the Universal Divine Man lies the secret of the Divine light. It is indeed the Universal Divine Man through whom will anyone attain gnosis of Allah Almighty in this world.

Status of the Universal Divine Man

Captain Wahid Baksh Siyal said about the Universal Divine Man:

 At the station of annihilation in Allah, a believer is completely immersed in the boundless ocean of Divine oneness transforming into a reflection of the Qudsi Hadith which states:

بِیْ یَسْمَعْ وَ یُبْصَرْ 

( وَ مَا یَزَالُ عَبْدِیْ یَتَقَرَّبُ اِلَیَّ بِالنَّوَافِلِ حَتّٰی اُحِبَّہٗ فَاِذَا اَحْبَبْتُہٗ کُنْتُ سَمْعَہُ الَّذِیْ یَسْمَعُ بِہٖ وَبَصَرَہُ الَّذِیْ یُبْصِرُ بِہٖ وَ یَدَہُ الَّتِیْ یَبْطِشُ بِھَا وَ رِجْلَہُ الَّتِیْ یَمْشِیْ بِھَ 

(Meaning, “I become his sense of hearing with which he hears”).

Another Hadith alludes to this exalted state:

 تَخَلَّقُوْا بِاَخْلَاقِ ﷲ 

(Meaning, “Endure the attributes of Allah”). After enduring and assimilating the Divine attributes, the believer attains immortality with Allah and is crowned with the throne of Divine Trust as the Universal Divine Man. This is the pinnacle of human accession and the essence of the Holy Prophet. This is the highest rank a human can attain. As at the station of annihilation in Allah he is fully submerged in Divine Oneness. (Roohaniat aur Insan)

Ahmad Saeed Hamdani writes in Haqeeqat Abdal-o-Rijal-e-Ghaib:

The Ghawth, also known as Qutb-ul-Aqtab, Qutb-e-Maddar, Qutb Abdal is the vicegerent of the Holy Prophet. He carries out his orders based on whatever is conferred upon his inward from the esteemed court of the Prophet. Each day he sits in the Holy court along with Abdals and makes decisions about the umma of the Prophet and the rest of the world. The Divine decree is transmitted to the Ghawth through the ordain of Prophet Mohammad. (Haqeeqat Abdal-o-Rijal-e-Ghaib)

Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen is the Exact Reflection of Sultan-ul-Faqr VI

Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen’s beloved spiritual guide, Sultan-ul-Faqr VI died on Friday, 26th December, 2003 (2nd Dhul al-Qadah, 1424 H). Hence, the next day weighted with grief, he went to his shrine. When he bowed to kiss the tomb, a voice came:

اَنْتَ اَنَا وَ اَنَا انۡتَ

Meaning: I am you and you are me.

This voice was drawing his attention to the fact that they are one. Meaning, Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen is reflection of his perfect and accomplished spiritual guide and he now has his place. Thus, Sultan-ul-Faqr VI had bestowed the throne of Divine guidance and persuasion upon him after his demise. After coming out of the shrine he recited the following quatrain:

جھکا جب مزارِ یار پر، اَنْتَ اَنَا وَ اَنَا انۡتَ کی آئی صدا
کی عرض کہ اس قابل نہیں ہوں، فرمایا یہی تو ہے ہماری عطا
دیکھ ذرا قلب کے اندر کہ یہ تو ہے کہ میں
دنیا اور وجود اپنا چھوڑ کر میں قالب تیرے میں آبسا

Explanation: When I bowed at the shrine of my beloved spiritual guide, I heard him saying “I am you and you are me”. I humbly replied that I do not deserve such an honor.

He said:

“This is my blessing upon you. Look within yourself, is it you or me? I left the world and the vessel of my body, now I live within you.”

Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen's Accession to the Throne of Divine Guidance

Sultan-ul-Faqr VI bestowed the Divine Trust and the superior spiritual succession to Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen. Now, it became obligatory upon him to execute the responsibilities of the throne of Divine guidance and persuasion.

Therefore, immediately after he returned from his Murshid’s shrine, he ascended the throne of Divine guidance and persuasion. This was on the orders of the Holy Prophet, al-Ghawth al-Azam, Sultan Bahoo and Sultan-ul-Faqr VI Sultan Mohammad Asghar Ali. As it is the rule of physical world that the throne of a king must never remain empty. Similar is the case in the esoteric world. Here as well, the throne of Divine guidance and persuasion never remains unascended. After the death of a Saint his spiritual successor immediately ascends the throne. On ascending this throne, the Mohammadan Assembly titled Najib-ur-Rehman as ‘Sultan Mohammad’.

Ism-e-Allah zaat

Granting Ism-e-Allah Zaat without Oath of Allegiance

Sultan-ul-Faqr VI in his life had permitted Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen to grant gold Ism-e-Allah Zaat and the king of invocations ‘Hoo’ (ھُو). Therefore, he continued that service. However, after ascending the throne of Divine guidance he was yet to take any physical steps for invitation to Faqr. But, by the grace of Allah Almighty His seekers started coming to him. Then at first, he started granting them Ism-e-Allah Zaat and the invocation of Hoo (ھُو) without oath of allegiance. Indeed, there was a wisdom hidden in not taking oath of allegiance yet.

Parting from Tanzeem al-Arifeen

Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman was in deep grief after the death of his spiritual guide. Due to this grief he spent one year in solitude. In the life of his spiritual guide, upon his order, he had stopped doing the work of Tanzeem al-Arifeen. But he was still working for magazine Mirat-ul-Arifeen and other departments. Slowly one after the other, the opponents took back those responsibilities. Eventually, by 2004 they separated him entirely from the organization. Instead of argument, Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman, silently separated himself.

Distribution of Book Haqeeqat Ism-e-Allah Zaat for Free

On Thursday, 28th July, 2005 (21st Jumada ath-thani, 1426 H) Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen got the book Haqeeqat Ism-e-Allah Zaat printed. Now the English translation of this book is also available by name ‘The Divine Reality of Ism-e-Allah Zaat’.  Anyway, back then he distributed it in Lahore for free in the way of Allah.  The sole purpose was inviting people to attain the invocation and contemplation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat. This was a step forward to spread awareness regarding the teachings of Faqr and the reality of Ism-e-Allah Zaat.

First Oath of Allegiance

14th August, 2005 (7th Rajab, 1426 H) was the first time he officially took oath of allegiance from a couple of people. Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen thoughtfully selected this day for the oath as this was date of birth of his beloved spiritual guide. People included in this oath were the ones who had attained invocation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat during his time of recluse. It also included the ones who accepted his invitation by reading his distributed book, Haqeeqat Ism-e-Allah Zaat.

Advertisements for Invitation to Faqr

In the beginning, he made his house the centre of Faqr. He published advertisements on back panel of various newspapers to spread Faqr nationwide. His advertisement was an invitation to avail the book Haqeeqat Ism-e-Allah Zaat free of cost. He distributed thousands of books for free in Pakistan in response to the advertisements. Indeed, people accepted the invitation to Faqr. Upon requests, he travelled to invite people towards Faqr and preach to them its teachings. He himself visited people to spread beneficence of Ism-e-Allah Zaat.

Lessons About Faqr

For guidance he gave a series of lessons to the people who Allah blessed with Faqr by opting his circle. These lessons consisted of topics such as Faqr, the perfect spiritual guide, Divine vision, seeker of Allah. Also, he guided people about the importance and the method of invocation and contemplation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat. For the first time any spiritual guide brought out the detail of facts and realities on such topics. In this way Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen invited the Mohammadan nation towards Faqr. Not only that but he also initiated their purification which he has continued till date. In short, Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman is commencing the revival of this pure religion Islam.
